#Wearespie

Since 15.03. we are officially part of @SPIE – and as of today we are starting to change our external appearance in the entire group. In this way, we are also showing visually, initially on the digital channels, that we are part of SPIE.

In addition to the websites, our LinkedIn profiles and our posts, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and other (digital) channels also shine in new colors.

In the coming weeks and months, signage, presentations, cars and workwear will follow. And much more – because we want to show that we are SPIE on all channels and in all situations – as the “Industrial Services & Wind” business unit and part of the leading multi-technical service provider in Europe.

Our visual appearance changes – otherwise nothing changes for you. Together with the more than 2,600 specialists, we are also at your side in a new guise to master the challenges of the digital and ecological transformation. Now together with the 50,000 colleagues at SPIE. Always along the life cycle of your assets – from planning to installation, maintenance, servicing, relocation and decommissioning.

We are happy to assist you! We look forward to your inquiry – just click on the contact button at the bottom right.

Another milestone in SPIE's growth story: Leading position in Industrial Services with successful completion of the acquisition of ROBUR

Ratingen, March 15, 2024 – SPIE announces the successful completion of the acquisition of ROBUR. With ROBUR, the independent European market leader for multi-technical services significantly expands its range of services and takes a leading position in industrial services. The relevant competition authorities had previously approved the transaction.

“Welcome, ROBUR! We are delighted to welcome over 2,600 new colleagues to SPIE”, says Markus Holzke, Managing Director/CEO SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa, enthusiastically about the successful completion of the acquisition of ROBUR and continues: “With ROBUR, we are significantly strengthening our position in industrial services and are now a leading player in this area. At the same time, we are visibly entering the market for technical services for wind turbines. This strategic expansion of our multi-technology expertise illustrates our commitment to providing excellent services for our customers and providing them with comprehensive support on their path to a more sustainable and digitalized future.”

With ROBUR, SPIE complements its multi-technology competence with broad expertise in the field of industrial services along the life cycle of industrial assets. The Munich-based company was founded in 2015 with the aim of redefining industrial services and aligning itself as a partner for digital transformation and ecological change.

“We are delighted to finally be able to get started!” Jan-Jörg Müller-Seiler and the ROBUR management team agree. “We fit together perfectly and see many opportunities to create added value for our customers with our complementary services. We are very much looking forward to the future together as SPIE and to working with our new colleagues!”.

In future, ROBUR will operate on the market as SPIE and will be managed as the Industrial Services & Wind division of SPIE D. Jan-Jörg Müller-Seiler will thus become Head of the Industrial Services & Wind division and a member of the Executive Board of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa. “We are delighted to welcome Jan-Jörg Müller-Seiler as an experienced manager to the management team! We look forward to a successful future together with the entire management team,” says Markus Holzke.

The SPIE Group is an independent European leader in multi-technical services in the energy and communications sectors. With more than 48,000 employees and a strong local presence, SPIE generated consolidated revenues of 8.1 billion euros and consolidated EBITA of 511 million euros in 2022.

ROBUR becomes part of SPIE

Munich, 28. November 2023 – ROBUR, the industrial services specialist for digital transformation and ecological change founded in Munich in 2015, will become part of SPIE and thus significantly strengthen SPIE’s range of services in the field of industrial services. Following completion of the transaction, ROBUR will be established as a separate division of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa, which will continue to be led by Jan-Jörg Müller-Seiler and his experienced management team.

„Since 2015, there have been regular reports of companies becoming part of ROBUR. Now we are pleased to announce the signing with SPIE. This means that ROBUR will become part of SPIE,” says Jan-Jörg Müller-Seiler, Managing Director/CEO and Managing Partner of ROBUR, explaining the latest development within ROBUR.

„As an industrial services specialist, we support our customers in the digital and ecological transformation of their plants. We can only master these challenges in partnership. We have grown continuously since 2015, have been able to recruit many specialists for the ROBUR vision and have developed into a top 10 industrial services specialist with our approximately 3,000 colleagues and our customers. Many thanks for this!”, Müller-Seiler continues and adds: “As part of SPIE, we can drive forward our goal of consolidating and expanding our leading position as a specialist for high-quality industrial services in an increasingly digitalized and ecologically changing market even more strongly. There are also excellent development prospects for our colleagues“.

ROBUR will become part of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa, making it the third platform acquisition of SPIE Group in Germany and Central Europe, which, like ROBUR, is pursuing a strong growth course. “Within ten years, we have built SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa into the leading multi-technology service provider. We are the market leader in technical facility management and a leading service provider in the energy infrastructure market, we have a strong position in building, transportation and automation technology as well as in the field of information and communication services. With ROBUR, we are now also becoming clearly visible in industrial services,” says Markus Holzke, Managing Director/CEO of SPIE Germany & Central Europe, outlining the growth course and continues: “Our growth ambition continues. We want to further expand our market position. Our aim is to be our customers’ partner of choice for technical services when it comes to their climate-friendly and digital future.“

SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa is a subsidiary of SPIE Group, the independent European market leader for multi-technical services. With over 48,000 employees, SPIE Group is committed to a climate-friendly and digital future. In 2022, the company generated a consolidated turnover of 8.1 billion euros.

ROBUR’s broad range of services in the field of industrial services throughout the life cycle of its customers’ plants is of particular interest to SPIE. Be it in wind power as an important renewable energy source in Germany and Europe or in the digitalization and automation of production processes to increase efficiency.

„Florian Kopp, Jens Cremer and I founded ROBUR in 2015 because we wanted to redefine industrial services in Germany, Europe and the world in the face of the challenges of digital and ecological transformation. It was always clear to us that we could only realize this vision with strong partners – with our original investors, with the managers in our acquired partner companies, but above all with all our colleagues. We are proud that with SPIE we have found a group that will now continue this vision and success story of ROBUR under the SPIE brand,” explains Daniel Beringer, Founder and Managing Partner of ROBUR.

„ROBUR is characterized by partnership, whether in our understanding of each other or in our interaction with our customers. After all, the challenges of digital transformation and ecological change can only be mastered together. We have also found this spirit of partnership, characterized by openness, honesty, and an enthusiasm for innovative solutions for customers, in all our discussions with the SPIE team. SPIE is therefore the ideal platform for ROBUR and our customers to continue to grow together and to master the growing challenges of leading energy and industrial companies together,” says Müller-Seiler, who, as the future Head of the Industrial Services division and member of the Executive Board of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa, will lead the division together with the experienced ROBUR management team.

The final closing of the transaction is expected to take place in February 2024 and is only subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.

VESTEL and ROBUR Join Forces to Expand Charging Infrastructure in Germany

The Turkish electrical appliance manufacturer VESTEL entrusts ROBUR Industry Service Group with maintenance and service of its DC charging stations for electromobility in Germany. The ROBUR partner companies ELMOBIS, GESA, ROBUR WIND and SNG will together coordinate the implementation of the project.

Munich, September 20, 2023 – ROBUR, the Munich-based industrial services specialist for digital transformation and ecological change, under the leadership of its e-mobility specialist ELMOBIS, is entering into a partnership with the Turkish DC charging station manufacturer VESTEL to expand the charging infrastructure in Germany.

For optimal implementation, ELMOBIS draws on the regional competence and proximity provided by the colleagues of the ROBUR partner companies ROBUR WIND (North), GESA (East), SNG (South) and takes care of the West of the Republic itself. Under the leadership of ELMOBIS, the ROBUR partners take over the complete maintenance and servicing of the DC charging stations of VESTEL within the warranty period and assure a timely on-site service. In addition, the electric and e-mobility specialists take over the legal duty of inspection and maintenance within the framework of the new charging station ordinance of the federal government, which stipulates a mandatory inspection every six months.
VESTEL Germany continues to consolidate its place in the local e-mobility market. For the past two years, the company has been successively expanding its product portfolio for this purpose in Germany. “As a group of specialists, we are predestined for this partnership thanks to our know-how and over ten years of experience in the field of e-mobility, but also thanks to our presence throughout Germany,” says Olaf Becker, CEO and partner of ROBUR ELMOBIS. “We are proud that VESTEL has chosen us and our partners for this,” adds Becker.

“We have been in contact with Olaf and ELMOBIS for quite some time and quickly realized that the group in the presented structure is the ideal partner for us in Germany,” explains Taner Ayilmaz, Managing Director of VESTEL. “With ELMOBIS, ROBUR provides us with a direct contact for the entire country – virtually everything from one source. This makes our work much easier! This way, we can ensure that we can meet our obligations from warranty and maintenance,” Ayilmaz concludes.

ROBUR Presents Goals Achieved in Sustainability Report 2023

ROBUR Industry Service Group publishes its sustainability report for the third time. The data collection method was certified by TÜV NORD for the first time. Of the twelve targets set for 2022, ROBUR achieved nine in full and is again setting ambitious goals for the coming year.

Munich, July 10, 2023 – ROBUR, the Munich-based industry services specialist for digital transformation and ecological change, today publishes its Sustainability Report 2023, which transparently presents the goals set and their implementation across all partner companies of the Group for the 2022 financial year.

Since its foundation in 2015, ROBUR has been pursuing the goal of making the industry more sustainable. But also, for its own companies, the Group has set internal targets for the fiscal year 2022 in the areas of environment, social affairs and corporate governance. Of the twelve targets, nine were comprehensively and successfully implemented, one was only narrowly missed, and two are being continuously pursued.

Nachhhaltigkeit2023

For example, ROBUR achieved 100 percent compensation for flight-related mobility services and, at 69 percent, exceeded its goal of increasing the share of “green electricity” at all ROBUR sites to at least 50 percent. It also achieved its targets in the areas of attractive working environment, work safety, inclusion, training and compliance.

ROBUR took on the task of implementing charging infrastructure for electric vehicles at at least four additional ROBUR sites – they achieved a total of three, due to limited availability of service providers and materials, therefore the goal is formally considered not to have been met. Two points that will be continued and expanded as planned are, firstly, the development of a ROBUR-wide vehicle/fleet guideline for electromobility, and secondly, to increase the list of suppliers and service providers audited for sustainability criteria.

Guidelines and Certification
ROBUR wants to continue its contribution to a more sustainable industry and industrial service and support its partner companies and customers in facing future challenges. Therefore, ROBUR decided to align its report even more with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to adopt the guidelines of the German Sustainability Index (DNK) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), along with applying the systematics of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol for the inventory of emissions. In addition, the data collection method was certified by TÜV NORD for the first time in the reporting year based on DIN EN ISO 14064-3:2020.
ROBUR as “Sustainability Enabler”
ROBUR, together with its partner companies, supports its customers in meeting the challenges of ecological change and thus sees itself as a sustainability enabler: Whether it is a matter of maintaining wind turbines onshore and offshore or erecting solar parks. This also includes optimizing supply chains or production processes or relocating entire production sites. Energy efficiency measures are implemented in customers’ production facilities or data centers. It also offers solutions in the field of hydrogen and electrolysis plant production and battery solutions. ROBUR’s partner companies build, maintain and certify charging infrastructure for e-mobility solutions or develop and manufacture prototypes and mock-ups for international public transport.
ROBUR’s Sustainability Targets for 2023
The Group and its partners have continued to set ambitious goals for 2023. The sustainability report includes a total of fifteen points covering the areas of emissions reduction, responsible use of resources, a safe and attractive work environment, and responsible corporate governance and compliance.

“Creating a company focused on sustainability is a process. We experience this every day in the Group but also in our own lives. Not every goal can be achieved that easily overnight. It takes time. That’s why I’m particularly pleased that we achieved most of the goals we defined last year. But now is not the time to rest. We have also set ourselves new and ambitious goals for ROBUR’s further ecological transformation. And we will continue to work on these with all our energy in 2023 and beyond in all our partner companies. For us, for our customers, for the planet and for future generations,” concludes Jan-Jörg Müller-Seiler, CEO and Managing Partner of ROBUR.
